When we started out with the British cycling programme we had one gold medal in 76 years of trying and then in a very short period of time, we went from winning nothing, to winning a lot. People didn’t believe it was going to happen, but slowly and surely we developed the talent. But the moment you stop and take for granted what you have, you are in trouble; and that’s why I am engaging with Trans2 because it encourages you to self-reflect.
