When Chief Fire Officer Jonathon Pryce KFSM took on his leadership role in 2021, he inherited a newly formed executive team alongside some experienced legacy members. The challenge was clear: to rebuild trust, strengthen cohesion, and create a unified leadership culture that could confidently drive consistent performance across the Service. Jonathon wanted a partner that could connect with his people, not just at the top level, but throughout the organisation and deliver leadership development that felt relevant, credible, and grounded in real operational experience.

“We wanted an organisation that was dynamic and could capture the interest of our staff, while delivering really high-quality, credible leadership academically underpinned training.'“

Solution

T2 began by partnering with the Senior Leadership Team, using psychology-backed diagnostics and facilitated sessions to build trust, deepen understanding, and strengthen communication.

Over time, the partnership grew, extending to several hundred middle managers, supervisory leaders, and those taking on their first leadership responsibilities. This approach ensured the entire organisation shared the same leadership language, values, and expectations. It also meant that at all levels of management, they felt invested in and were part of something bigger.

The design combined:

  • Leadership development sessions aligned to the organisation’s culture and goals

  • Coaching to build trust and self-awareness

  • Interactive exercises to strengthen collaboration and decision-making

  • Programmes structured around the 6 Pillars of Leadership: Leading Self → Leading Others → Leading the Team

Flexibility was key. T2 worked collaboratively with Jonathon and his team to adapt and develop content and delivery over five years that had the right tone and content for his organisation, ensuring the work stayed relevant, practical, and performance-focused.T2 began by partnering with the Senior Leadership Team, using psychology-backed diagnostics and facilitated sessions to build trust, deepen understanding, and strengthen communication.
