How a Bespoke Event Helped Fair Ways Elevate Team Performance and Purpose
When Fair Ways’ Managing Director, Gareth Webb, attended our flagship T2 Leadership Retreat Event, the impact was immediate. Inspired by the depth of insight, science-led approach, and personal transformation he experienced, Gareth wanted his senior leadership team to benefit from the same journey, but in a way that reflected the unique culture and challenges of Fair Ways.
“The T2 Leadership Retreat Event was brilliant. It was the first time I’ve done some continued professional development for about eight years, so it’s really good to get an insight into my own self-awareness, my best self, understand what attributes, and I can take that forward and leave my team, go back in the workplace.”
That vision became a reality with a bespoke two-day Leadership Retreat, designed and delivered by T2 Senior Consultant James Cooper, tailored specifically for Fair Ways’ operational directors.
Fair Ways is a leading not-for-profit charity providing care, education, and support services for children, young people, and adults across the UK. Their mission is to help individuals live safer, happier, and more fulfilling lives — a purpose deeply rooted in values-driven leadership.
The Experience
Drawing inspiration from our Leadership Retreat Event, the bespoke programme combined science-based assessment tools, immersive team activities, and reflective sessions focused on self-awareness, communication, and leadership performance.
From team-building exercises to deep individual reflection, the sessions helped participants identify personal strengths and blind spots, and explore how individual attributes influence collective success.
“We’ve been searching for a science-based assessment tool for a while, and the Attributes framework has been fantastic. It’s shone a light on areas we hadn’t fully understood before – even the downsides of some of our strengths.”
The Impact
Gareth described the experience as “world-class”, highlighting how the structure, preparation, and thoughtfulness behind the programme created both professional and personal breakthroughs for his team: “I've never seen anything like it's top class. In fact, it's world-class.”
‘I was so inspired by how the T2 Leadership Retreat Event was operated and what you taught us that I wanted T2 to create a mini version of that for us, and that's what we've done today for operational directors. It's been brilliant from day one, with nonstop activities and learning about ourselves and how we can lead better when we go back into the workplace.”
A Lasting Partnership
This collaboration shows what’s possible when leaders commit to development that goes beyond the surface, turning insights into action and building stronger, more connected teams.
