Bringing Teams Together: A Day of Growth, Connection & High Performance with East Riding Council
When a team doubles in size, the opportunities—and challenges—grow just as fast. That’s exactly where East Riding of Yorkshire Council found themselves after a major service review. Their newly expanded Registration Services team, led by Strategic Registration Manager Tim Woodward, needed more than just an introduction. They needed unity.
That’s where T2 came in.
We designed and delivered a bespoke T2 Unity Day for over 60 team members, all coming together for the first time. The focus was simple but powerful: create a foundation for trust, communication, and high performance.
What We Delivered
Our T2 Unity Day combined essential people development insights with experiential learning to accelerate team cohesion:
Understanding Human Behaviour – Using concepts inspired by the Chimp Paradox to explore emotional awareness.
Improving Communication – Leveraging Social Styles to identify preferences and adapt effectively to others.
Enhancing Collaboration – Introducing key ideas from Jungian Theory around introversion and extroversion.
Defining High Performance – Facilitating practical discussions on what excellence looks like for this newly integrated team.
We closed the day with a lively outdoor team-building activity for coordination, collaboration, and connection.
